Ferry Meadows Cafe VisitEngland Assessment

FERRY MEADOWS CAFE

Ferry Meadows Cafe has recently been assessed by the “VisitEngland Visitor Attraction Quality Scheme” to offer our prospective visitors the reassurance of an official endorsement of our standards. Below are some quotes from the report and both positive and constructive feedback for Meadow Brown Restaurants reflect on.

“Ferry Meadows Country Park continues to deliver a very enjoyable and informative visitor experience. On this occasion the attraction has achieved an overall score of 88%, which comfortably meets the criteria for an accredited visitor attraction under VisitEngland's scheme, being only slightly lower than the 90% scored in 2022.

As the largest and most visited site managed by the Nene Park Trust it was pleasing to hear that the Trustees and management continuously strive to improve the visitor experience year on year. It was exciting to learn that work on the new Welcome Hub will start later in the year, no doubt transforming the main arrival area of the Park and improving the visitor's first impression of the Park.

There were many strengths noted during this assessed visit, in particular the new 'Walking in Time' trail and the many additional events that are promoted across the Nene Park sites, ensuring that all visitors are fully aware of what the park has to offer.

Other strengths include the extremely high standard of cleanliness in many areas and the very impressive range of content on offer. Staff are an asset and generally are welcoming and great ambassadors for Ferry Meadows, however, a weaker aspect noted during this assessed visit were lower customer service standards from catering staff and the disappointing lunch in Lakeside Kitchen and Bar. The Ferry Meadows Café performed very well indeed.”

We are grateful to contribute towards such a brilliant score and will continue to provide the highest quality service and catering at Ferry Meadows Cafe.
