Set in the heart of Ferry Meadows, one of the largest country parks in the region, Lakeside Kitchen & Bar offers spectacular views of Gunwade lake. Open daily for breakfast, lighter lunches and main meals, all of our food is freshly cooked to order.
At Lakeside Kitchen & Bar, we pride ourselves on serving fresh, quality food cooked on the daily. All of our cakes that we sell are baked in house by our skilled kitchen team and we continue to get fantastic feedback from our clients on both the service and quality.
“We stopped at Lakeside halfway through our walk around the park. It was extremely busy but the staff were friendly and extremely efficient. The breakfast was lovely and my daughter loved her waffles! A young lad called Kyle was always working hard and cleaning and clearing tables - I was extremely impressed considering how young he looked! Brilliant staff and delicious food! Will definitely be back again”
“My husband and I called into Lakeside Kitchen after a walk around Ferry Meadows this morning. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. We only had tea and cake but were spoilt for choice! We opted for the coffee and walnut cake, which was absolutely delicious, and very generous portion size. We will definitely return as I want try the scones which looked a meal in itself (huge). I would highly recommend and look forward to a return visit”
“We visited the park and cafe for some Brunch with our 2 small dogs. Doggy friendly with bowls of water aplenty. We both ordered Club Sandwich and Fruit Scones which were very tasty and exactly what we expected. We had fun watching the paddleboarders, kayakers and sailing boats milling around on the lake and it looked like they had just as much fun! There was seating both inside and out and because we had such lovely weather (and the dogs) we sat outside - pleasant surroundings, tables clean and plenty of space between them for social distancing”

“Saturday 7th Dec we had our staff Christmas party at Lakeside Kitchen & Bar and it could not have gone better. The venue and tables looked fabulous and the staff were incredibly attentive and professional. We had a magic mirror photobooth which went down a storm and Chris, the DJ was fantastic too, playing all of our song requests - even some of our staff Polish choices! We highly recommend Lakeside and their fantastic team for any upcoming event or occasion”

From meeting Raj and Louise for the planning, to Wayne and the team on the day, nothing was too much trouble for them. The three course meal in the afternoon and the buffet in the evening could not have been better and the transformation of the venue is amazing - and such a wonderful lakeside setting. From the start of planning the reception a year ago to the end of the wedding party, the staff were helpful and accommodating in every way. They advised us well, paid great attention to detail in preparing the venue on the day and made the room look beautiful.
