A Tradition That Brings Us Together Each Year
Every year at Meadow Brown Restaurants we take time to celebrate the people who make everything we do possible. Our annual team trip is a much-loved tradition and one that everyone looks forward to, not only as a well-earned break but as a way to come together, share experiences and create memories outside of work. This year our journey took us to the beautiful city of Tallinn in Estonia, with the added treat of a day trip across the water to the Finnish capital, Helsinki.

Tallinn proved to be the perfect host. With its blend of medieval charm and modern vibrancy, the city offered something for everyone. Wandering through its historic centre felt like stepping back in time, with winding streets and striking buildings that revealed a story at every corner. At the same time there was a lively energy, with bustling cafés, restaurants and shops giving us a taste of everyday life in Estonia. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and it did not take long for the team to feel at home.
One of the highlights of the trip was simply having the chance to spend time together away from the familiar surroundings of our sites. These moments outside of work allow us to connect in new ways. Over meals, walks and evenings spent together, there was a real sense of friendship and togetherness. People who normally work in different parts of the company had the opportunity to get to know one another better, and conversations that might never have happened in the workplace flowed easily. This is always one of the most rewarding parts of our annual tradition and something that makes the experience feel so valuable.
The short journey across the Baltic Sea to Helsinki added another layer to the adventure. The contrast between the two cities made the trip even more memorable. Where Tallinn offered cobbled streets and a sense of history, Helsinki brought us wide open spaces, elegant architecture and a more Nordic style. Exploring a second city in a single trip was a real treat and gave everyone an extra set of memories to take away.
Looking back, what stands out most is not any single sight or experience, but the feeling of being together as a group. There was laughter at every turn, whether on city walks, during shared meals or while simply sitting and talking at the end of the day. The trip was filled with small but lasting moments that brought the team closer and reminded us of the importance of celebrating what we achieve together as a collective.

We return from Tallinn and Helsinki not only with photographs and stories but with a renewed sense of motivation and connection. These annual trips are about much more than travel. As always, we end the trip already looking forward to the next one.
